Data deletion
How to stop Orbit's access to your Facebook Page or Instagram account, and how to have the information Orbit holds about you deleted. You can do either or both.
Step 1. Stop Orbit's access now
- On Facebook, open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
- Choose Business integrations.
- Pick Orbit and choose Remove.
Meta explains this on its help page: How to remove a business integration. Facebook sometimes moves these menus; the help page has the current path.
This stops Orbit from posting or reading anything straight away, for the Facebook Page and for any Instagram account connected through it. It does not erase what Orbit has already stored. Step 2 does that.
Step 2. Ask us to delete your information
Email projectaxis@proton.me with the subject “Delete my data”. Tell us which Facebook Page or Instagram account it is (a name or link is enough), or which business your review link was for. If we cannot tell that the request comes from someone who manages that Page or account, we will ask one question to confirm it before deleting anything.
Orbit does not receive deletion requests from Facebook automatically, so please email us even if you have already removed Orbit on Facebook.
What we delete
- The connection record for your Page or account: access keys, names, IDs and profile pictures, including the saved copy of the connecting person's picture.
- Photo fingerprints and post links from past-photo checks.
- Copies of your photos on media.orbitlaunch.app.
- The posts, drafts, schedules and photos we hold for that business, and its review-link records and feedback. If you only want the Facebook or Instagram connection removed and your posts kept, tell us.
- The same information in the backup copies we keep.
What we cannot delete
- Posts already published on Facebook or Instagram. They stay there until someone who manages the Page or account deletes them.
- Information held by Meta, Cloudflare, Google or Groq under their own policies, such as the email address used for a Cloudflare Access code. See the Privacy policy.
- Anything the law requires us to keep. If that applies, we will tell you what and why.
How long it takes
We reply within 7 days and finish within 30 days. When we are done, we email you to confirm what was deleted. If we cannot delete something, we tell you why.
