Terms of use
These terms cover Orbit, the private social media tool Studio Sojo runs, and the client review links it sends. If you have a separate written agreement with Studio Sojo, that agreement comes first wherever the two differ.
1. What Orbit is
Orbit is a private tool that Studio Sojo uses to write, schedule and publish social media posts for itself and for businesses it works with. It is not open to the public, and nobody can sign up.
2. Connecting a Facebook Page or Instagram account
Only connect a Page or account you are allowed to manage. By connecting it, you allow Studio Sojo to use Orbit to publish posts to it and to read its statistics, as described in the Privacy policy. You can remove this access at any time; see Data deletion.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of your content, such as photos, logos and text. You give Studio Sojo permission to store, edit, resize and publish it through Orbit, only to provide the service to you. When you give us photos, you confirm you have the right to use them, including permission from people who can be recognized in them.
4. Client review links
A review link is personal. Anyone who has it can see that business's upcoming posts and respond, so please do not forward it. If you think someone else has it, tell us and we will turn it off. Links can expire, and we can turn them off at any time.
Suggested wording is only a suggestion: it never changes a post unless Studio Sojo accepts it. If you ask for a change to a post that is already scheduled, Orbit takes that post off the schedule until Studio Sojo deals with it.
5. How publishing works, and its limits
Orbit runs on a single computer. If that computer is off or offline at a post's scheduled time, the post goes out once Orbit is back, unless it would be more than 2 hours late. Then Orbit does not send it on its own, and Studio Sojo decides what to do with it. Facebook or Instagram can also refuse or delay a post. Failed posts show up in Orbit for Studio Sojo to handle, but we cannot promise that every post goes out at the exact time planned.
6. Text drafted with AI
Some captions, alt text and photo descriptions are drafted with AI tools. They can contain mistakes. If something we posted for you is wrong, tell us and we will correct or remove it where we still can.
7. Fair use
Do not use Orbit or a review link to try to reach anything you were not given, to interfere with Orbit, or to publish anything unlawful. Posts must also follow Facebook's and Instagram's own rules.
8. Facebook and Instagram
Facebook and Instagram are Meta's services, and their terms and policies apply to everything posted there. Studio Sojo and Orbit are not part of Meta, and Meta is not responsible for Orbit.
9. No guarantees
Orbit is provided as it is. It may sometimes be unavailable, and its features may change. To the extent the law allows, Studio Sojo is not liable for indirect losses, such as lost sales, caused by a late, missing or wrong post. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
10. Stopping
You can stop at any time: remove Orbit's access on Facebook and ask us to delete your information (see Data deletion). We can stop providing Orbit to a business at any time. When we do, we erase that business's records within 30 days, unless it asks us to keep them.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and tell the businesses we work with about changes that affect them.
